Three ballot question petitions were submitted by the Committee for Massachusetts Voter ID to the Attorney General’s office for inclusion on the 2026 ballot if the requisite number of signatures is obtained. All three questions, designed to improve election security by ensuring only eligible voters can cast a ballot, have been certified by the Attorney General. These three questions would:
• Require showing a photo ID when voting (Petition "W")
• Require compliance with the current absentee ballot procedure for early mail-in voting (Petition "1F")
• Make voter registration rolls available to the public for auditing purposes. (Petition "V")
